How to install Nepali Fonts in Android

Simple and Easiest Steps to install Nepali Fonts in Android

The most suffering issue of Android OS Phone is that it does not embed Devanagari Fonsts (Nepali, Hindi, Maithii, Marathi and many others) by default. Nepali font sites and Facebook posts in Nepali shows small square boxes in stead of text as in below:

I come here with the easiest steps to intall Nepali fonts in Android Phones.
    1. Root your phone. You can use google search for the tips for rooting your phone. Note that you will lose your software warrenty after rooting but you can get it back by unrooting. But, unrooting makes you lose all data previously saved or installed after factory setting.
After rooting, you can see “Superuser” in your phone.
  2.  Download one of the fonts below in your device. In may devices, it will automatically be downloaded in “download” folder of your phone memory.
        DroidSansFallback.ttf (http://manijshrestha.wordpress.com/2011/10/10/installing-nepalidevnagari-font-in-android/ )
o        Or
         Akshar.ttf (http://nepali.changathi.com/Fonts.aspx)

Note: DroidSansFallback may not be compatible for some android application (Viz. Default Music Player of Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus). Latter seems so far well-matched to all. If you prefer former one, you can use mangal font from your PC  (C:/windows/fonts) too because both are same.

    3. Download and install “Font Installer” from Android Market or PlayStore.

      4.  Install above downloaded font by using “Font Installer *Root*”.

During installation, press “continue” if it asks for and “Yes” for rebooting. After restarting, you can enjoy Nepali font sites and Facebook posts.
